More and more people are beginning to realize the positive effects of taking an HGH, or human growth hormone, supplement. These products can greatly help when used for anti-aging purposes and can also help to restore and repair damaged cells within the body, promoting the healthy growth and development of all the body’s systems. While these supplements can greatly help with looking and feeling younger and healthier, they are not without their side effects and complications.

Although the different side effects will depend on the exact product you are using and the method in which you are taking it, there are some general common side effects that accompany many HGH products. These include: enlargement of the kidneys or the heart, development of diabetes, hypoglycemia, carpal tunnel syndrome, sore muscles and joints, hand numbness, high blood pressure, and injection point sores. A common side effect when HGH is injected is that reverse results are shown once the injections have stopped.

Human growth hormone is a powerful protein and if there is a deficiency or an excessive amount within the body, this can also produce side effects. Although too much of the hormone will result in the condition gigantism in children, adults will see a different result. Because adults have already stopped growing, they may notice that their jaw and facial features have become stronger and much more pronounced when they have taken too much HGH. This may also cause the muscles to become weaker, instead of stronger and bigger, which is often the desired result of HGH.
HGH does have some possible side effects, just as another health supplement on the market does. While many of the side effects of HGH can be easily controlled by simply changing the dosage of the supplement that’s given, if taken over an extended period of time, these results could become permanent.
